a method for identifying a particular antigen in a complex
mixture of proteins.

The first immunoblotting technique developed is Southern
blotting by the scientist named Southern and hense it is
named so. later western n northern blotting techniques were
also developed. southern, western n northern blotting
tech's are used to identify the unknown DNA, PROTEIN N RNA
elements respectively.
