Need of Testing:
Testing will help to control and improve
the quality of a software developed by development team.
i mean it is a quality control activity.
Purpose of the Testing:
Purpose of testing is to find defects in
the developed software.
I mean testing will boot the confidence of both
development company and the client that software will work
properly in real application area also.

The gravity of testing required depends upon the skills of
your developer.Obviously the complience to coding standards
will end up with very less number of bugs in code.Testing
is required to give confidence and certify your product
against the users requirement.
Purpose of testing: Let me tell you one thing very
frankly "You can't perform exhaustive testing" therefore
aim of testing should be - not to prove that your product
is bug free, instead your product lives upto the
requirement and is been stable to use.
