Due to presence of plastids especially chromoplast(coloured plastid) flowers look colourful.

light from various plant pigments. A group of compounds
called "anthocyanidins" are the basic ingredients.It is
these anthocyanidin pigments that biotechnologists are
studying to change flower colors
