Hi,

Remedy is a tool by BMC software (earlier it was from Remedy
Corporations, BMC took over Remedy Corporation around 2003)
It is a CRM tool used for Customer Relationship applications
such as ticketing application, workflow automation &
existing applications integration. simple example of Remedy
application is Help-Desk application where tickets are
locked by end users or customers & these tickets are
resolved by Support Staff members.
This tool is built on the top of Java & is quite stable.
Latest version from BMC is remedy ARS 7.5 (Action Request
System)

Remedy testing is a confusing sentence; but one of the
meaning can be testing workflows using Remedy tool. Or
testing applications made in BMC remedy; as testing happens
with every application before application is deployed on
production; on the similar line Remedy application also have
to be tested.
as far as remedy application testing is concerned; GUI,
Validations & workflow routing are tested.

Yes, Remedy is not only used for production; it also used
for automation of workflows & business processing.
It also used in ITSM (IT Service Management); for example
Incident management, Problem Management; Change Management;
Assent Management; Knowledge Management. These are
Out-of-Box application from BMC softwares, which provides
facility to manage enterprise need of an organization.

Remedy is a tool developed by BMC.The applications developed
using that tool and then we test it is called remedy testing

support and also we have seperate
developers,testers,production support,support nmanagemnt
people

Remedy is action Request system, and it's same as explained
above.
Remedy testing: Testing of the remedy application +
whenever any organization uses the remedy software, it
modifies the application according to its customers and
industry needs, during the process organization may
customize/develop their own tools(Ex:- Web support for the
Remedy standalone application OR Interface between the
remedy ticketing system and other ticketing system Etc..)
Testing of all the above mentioned applications is
sometimes named as Remedy Testing
