What are our motives in Genetic Engineering? (Humanitarian, improve mankind or national interests)..

Answer / ekwemuka michael

hink the motive behind genetic engineering is to improve
breeding of animalkinds in different forms like; heredity
mechanism, gene reshuffling
e.tc.
In hereditery mechanism, it brings about variation
in the population, thereby ensuring the masked differences
in individual species. This then leads to having breeds
that are susceptible or resistance to diverse attacks; thus
ensuring the survival of the fittest.

Each dominant allele adds 1/2 lb tothe base weight (3 lb). If a pure breeding line that produced 6 lb squashes was crossed with a pure breeding line that produced 3 lb squashes, what would be the phenotypic ratio of the F1 and the F2?
