To stimulate THP-1 cells (a human monocyte cell line) into monocytes, follow these steps:
1. Seed THP-1 cells in a suitable culture medium.
2. Treat the cells with Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) at the recommended concentration (usually 50-200 nM).
3. Incubate the cells for the recommended time (usually 48-72 hours).
4. After incubation, the differentiated THP-1 cells will display a more rounded morphology and exhibit monocyte marker expression.
