Answer / Mukta Pandey
To create a simple website in SharePoint 2013, you can use the built-in Site Templates. Here is an example of creating a new site using the Publishing Portal template:
1. Navigate to the top-level site collection's Settings page (Site Actions > Site Settings).
2. Under Look and Feel, click on Site Columns.
3. Create a new text column for the custom homepage title.
4. Click on Site Content Types under Galleries.
5. Create a new content type based on the Page content type, add your new site column to it, and save it.
6. Under Site Actions, click on Create Site.
7. Choose the desired publishing portal template and click OK.
8. Give your site a unique URL and title, select your custom content type as the default content type, and click Create.
