Muller hinton agar is added to sterile water and
autoclaved.Thi is poured in to petri dishes to get 2 mm of
thickness under sterile conditions,These plates are stored
in refrigirater for storage. For sensitivity, make lawn
culture on media and keep antibiotic discs in radial
fashion at equal distance(not more than 6).Incubate at 37
degree centigrades for 24 hrs.So that sentivity zones
appear around the discs.Read the zone size with scale for

For antibiotic sensitivity testing prepare a known
concerntration of agar medium by desolving it in sterile
d/w .After getting a transperent solution pour it in petri
dishes by maintaining a thikness of 2mm and let it set
down .Keep it in hot air oven for 1 min for removal of
moisture so that it does not creat any contamination. Take
the plates and place different antibiotics my maintaining
distance of 24 from each other. So in that way agar is used
for antibiotic sensitivity testing.
