Hope this will help. QC is like a big package consisting:
Test Director, QTP, WinRunner and bunch of other features to
give the cross functional teams (QA, Devs, Business Analysts
etc.) involved in the QA process a common platform to
collaborate their efforts.

While TD alone is a Test management tool we all know about.

QC is the advanced version of TD.

QC having some more tabs as compare to TD for better
performance.

These are : Dashboard, Business components, Test resources.

Thess tabs are not present in TD.

Qulity center is the latest vesion of the testdirector.upto
8.0 it is called as testdirector after that it is called
as QC. in testdirectors having three tabs onley
plantest,runtest,trackdefects, but in QC four tabs is there
reqirements tab will be added.And QTP latest versions are
sport onley QC .After 8.0 version of QTP.
