Define control account Thanks
Answer / Avinash Kumar Munda
A control account is a special type of accounting record used to check the accuracy of subsidiary ledger accounts. It acts as a 'control total' for one or more related subsidiary accounts and is periodically compared with the total of the corresponding subsidiary accounts. Common examples include the Sales Control Account, Purchase Control Account, and Cash Control Account.
