No, I don't think you can change the PR or IR after it got
approved beacuse you can not open it if its approved or in
progress.

if requ. is approved GO to auto create in PO
then put the req no. over there and
GO to control and return req. and amend the same

While defining the shipping networks, there has field called "Transfer Type" - Intransit and Direct.
If the transfer Type = Intransit then the goods has to be received explicitly by creating Receipts.
