A test case can be optimized, by reviewing it whenever there is a change request and making changes to it.
In case of no changes, then test case can be optimized by verifying the coverage area of test, if not make changes so that it covers the max area in testing that functionality

Before starting to write a script, how will you find the test cases that have the same functionality? And how will you maintain the code?
