Version number is used to differentiate between same product(with different enhancements) releases.
A version of a product can have multiple builds.
Lets assume there is a version 5.0 of a product which would be delivered to client.Now this version of a product can have multiple builds, namely Build#1, B#2,B#3 ... and so on. Multiple builds are used to make the product stable. For instance, in Build#1, if there were n bugs found. It would be fixed and tested in next build (Build#2)and so on untill that particular version of the product is found to be stable.

build is nothing but in the 1 cycle we will be getting so
many no of builts i.e,we are adding modifications or
features with in the build,version is nothing but the
cycle,1 complete cycle can be called as releases or
versions in that we will be having many no of builds called
version these releases are named it as tiger for first
cycle n second cycle ccal it as cheetah n third is cal it
as dolphin
