What are build and version please explain why number changes
in build and version
Answer Posted / sunil kumar t
Version number is used to differentiate between same product(with different enhancements) releases.
A version of a product can have multiple builds.
Lets assume there is a version 5.0 of a product which would be delivered to client. Now this version of a product can have multiple builds, namely Build#1, B#2,B#3 ... and so on. Multiple builds are used to make the product stable. For instance, in Build#1, if there were n bugs found. It would be fixed and tested in next build (Build#2)and so on untill that particular version of the product is found to be stable.
