Differences btn 1:M and M:M Link?..

In simple way i will say that,
1:M- one parent have multiple child records.
We will use sourec field and destination fields for the
above one.
M:M - multiple parents have multiple child records. we will
use the Inter Table .The inteparent column and inter
childcolumn scenario will works here.
