How can we get a Neutral from a three phase suply? If we meet all three phases at a point to take neutral then why dont thay get sparked?

2012bit confused - am i correct in thinking that to determine line to line voltage in a star config 110v 3 phase 4 wire distribution system i would use a voltmeter? I have a circuit configured as an unbalanced load, consisting of three incandescent lamps (1x40w, 1x60w, 1x100w - all 110v rated)connected in a star configuration to a 110v 3 phase 4 wire distribution system. I want to find out what types of meters i would use to obtain: a) each line to line voltage b) the line to neutral voltage across each load c) current flowing in each line and load d) current flowing in the neutral conductor e) power supplied to the loads im assuming i would be using ammeters in series along each line and voltmeters in parallel across each line to neutral? Also how could i predict these meter readings before taking them and with which formulae? Any help would be greatly appreciated A.

I know usually factories use compensated capacitors (or other similar components) to compensate the reactive power, so if I use the apparent power, it's not the real power consumed.

generally in LT and MV motors we are using 3.5Coresx16,25,35,50 etc cable for supply.although motors is earthed at two point and having all protection.then why we are using that 1/2 core for earthing the motors.while in HT cable we are using only 3core cable for motor supply.generally lt and mv motors are delta connected and ht motors having star connection.whethere it is having any relation with winding connection( star or delta).all motors i am talking about are dol only.can anybody solve my confusion.thanks...

For the magnetic balance test, when applied voltage on a Delta-Star transformer e.g. Dyn11, the following relationships apply for HV side: 1. H1-H2 = H2-H3 H3-H1 2. H2-H3 = H3-H1 H1-H2 3. H3-H1 = H1-H2 H2-H3 For the LV side also: 4. X1-X0 = X2-X0 X3-X0 5. X2-X0 = X3-X0 X1-X0 6. X3-X0 = X1-X0 X2-X0 Is there a similar pattern for Y-d, Y-Y, D-d? And how about Y-z, D-z, Z-y transformers? I've tested a YNzn5 transformer and for LV side I don't see the pattern. In this particular case I got for LV side the following (see values below): H1-H0 H2-H0 H3-H0 X0-X1 X0-X2 X0-X3 128.0 119.9 7.2 29.2 13.3 15.8 70.7 128.4 59.2 23.4 22.0 3.6 7.2 120.1 128.1 13.4 29.3 15.8 What is the relationship here for LV? For row 1 I see the relationship, for row 3 I also see but it's shifted, but for row 2 I don't see such relationship. Any suggestions, answers, someone?
