Totipotency is the total genetic potential. It means that
the genetic information present in the entire plant is also
there in each of its cell.Hence, each cell has the
potential to develop into a new plant. In plant tissue
culture this inherent prperty is used. It is expressed when
the cells are provided with proper extenal stimulus which
helps them to revert to their original state and
redifferentiate into a new plant.
