Material Planning of two types
1. MRP- Material Requirement planning- This planning based on quantity calculated based on BOM and requirement.
2. Consumption Based Planning- Its based on three parameter

There are different MRP type as explained by others.
But the idea of asking this question by interviewer is
different.
The idea is to know how the material can be planned in
different types.
PD means normal mrp.
M1 means mps fixing -1 means always fixed quantity is
planned.
VB : means the material is always to ordered manually.
Like wise the plan is dependent on other factors like lot
size, month, week, etc.
