Question { 8928 }

suppose we r executing 10 test cases.let us assume one test
case(like 5th test case) failed. then as a test engineer
what u will u do?is it app problem or u'r s"?

Answer

Once you ve found a bug, its either be the first or
fifth... U immediately report the bug in the bug tracking
tool and based on its severity u ll proceed with the
testing.. If it is a show stopper then U cannot proceed
with testing ur 6 th test case. So it should be fixed
first. If it is not a show stopper U ll giv it to the
developer for fixation and proceed with testing the other
test cases and mark the untested cases due to the impact of
the bug in 5th case as UNTESTED CASES IN ROUND1.

Question { 9873 }

I am uma new commer for this site? I have some doubt's pls
clarify it..... I finished my B.Com and S/w Testing Course
Now iam serarching a job in Testing, I did not have any
experience in real time projects. Any body can send me the
sample Testcases,Srs,Matrix for Banking,ERP Projects etc.,

Answer

Actually sending SRS or MATRIX out side the company is not
that fair. Those are all highly confidential documents.

So regarding Banking I can say a scenario broken down into
some conditions and which in turn broken into cases.

If U take Banking there are a lot of operations like with
drawal, deposit, lending, etc.

Here we can take CASH WITH DRAWAL as a scenario.
CASH WITHDRAWAL FROM SB A/C as a condition
CASH WITH DRAWAL FROM SB HAVING MINIMUM BALANCE.
WITH DRAWING A SUM MORE THAN THAT IN BALANCE FROM SB.
etc..
CASH WITHDRAWAL FROM CA A/C as a condition
CASH WITH DRAWAL WITHOUT OD FACILITY ACTIVATED.
CASH WITHDRAWAL WITH OD FACILITY
etc..

Friends plz do mail me if I m wrong. I wont feel disturbing
if I recieve any mails regarding this to
jeekarthik@sqatester.com
Thanks

Question { 5880 }

when will u write user aceptance test cases before
functional or after?

Answer

Writing the Test cases for the UAT depends on the SDLC
model we follow. For Eg., in case we are using V Model, we
can prepare our UAT Test plan once the Business Requirement
Document is signed off. Once the plan is ready we can write
the test cases. Usually in UAT, we wont get into lower
levels and thus we will have the high level Test Scenarios
and Test conditions ready.. These conditions can be
executed once the System testing is signed off!!!

Question { Syntel, 10527 }

Suppose u found a bug which a developer could not reproduce
and it is reproducing on your pc whenever tried , then in
this siyuation what will be the status of the bug, and what
u r going to do for that bug.

Answer

Take the snap shots of the defect occurence and should
check for the environment which we are using and in which
the application was developed. If there is any difference
in the environment we have to verify our base line
document. If the environment we are using is correct we
have to raise it as a critical defect. If we are using any
other environment we have to ask the development team to
provide us the correct environment and should start testing
only after we get that environment.
