I agree with you ram to some extent.

i have visited some power generating stations where the bus
bars are made of thick hollow spherical copper or aluminum
conductors.

Reason being that AC always has the tendency to flow on the
outer surface of the conductor which we call the skin effect.

I have seen rectangular strips too but not on the generating
stations but on the panels.

consider the example of CT with the ratio 50:5.
it means if 50amps is flowing in the primary,it will show
only 5 amps in the secondary.Now when the polarity is
changed,50 amps will flow in the secondary which is
comparatively high,and the windings are designed to carry
only 5 amps and hence as a result the windings will burn due
to the volumenous amount of current flowing throught he circuit.

mechanical stresses which makes the transformer core vibrate
coz of which the complete apparatus vibrates,the poured
gravel absorbs these vibrations.

Secondly,the gravels provides a good earthing path for the
transformer.

Basically TRIAC ,SCR ,JFET , UJT all are switches.
TRIAC-stands for triode AC
SCR-silicon controlled rectifier performs the operation of
rectification and inversion
JFET-junction field effect transistor
UJT-unijunction transistor,a transistor with a single junction

the features like the operating frequency,switching
frequency are different for each one of them

lead to insulation failure of the windings,coz of which the
