Answer

All eletrical parts should be earth properly..

Is This Answer Correct ?    26 Yes 1 No

Question { NTS, 45319 }

What is the effect if power factor is above 1 or unity.

Answer

The power= Voltage*current*power factor... So when the
power factor is equal to or naer 1 the input voltage and
curret is fully utilised.. so losses..But we can't made the
Power Factor more than 1 in Practical life..

Is This Answer Correct ?    19 Yes 15 No

Question { ABB, 33435 }

How to connect frequency meter in metering circuit?(single
phase and three phase frequency meter)phase to phase or
phase to neutral

Answer

phase to neutral

Is This Answer Correct ?    26 Yes 5 No

Question { 6059 }

what is HVDC, what are advantages over conventional system?

Answer

HVDC means High Voltage Direct Current...
Some of the advantages are can transmit high voltage. No
reactive and capacitance as in AC.Transmission cost is
less... Even one conductor is enough with another conductor
is earthed.Control of magnitude is possible.
Interconnection of asynchronous networks is possible..

Is This Answer Correct ?    24 Yes 3 No

Question { 28377 }

which is more dangerous A.c or D.C?

Answer

DC is more dangerous, since there is no natural zero in DC
as in AC...

Is This Answer Correct ?    55 Yes 17 No

Question { 39571 }

HOW DOES THE FAN REGULATOR CONTROLS ITS SPEED

Answer

In electrical regulator by using resistance the output
voltage is varied simultateneouly the speed is varied...
But to reduce the the energy loses in the resistor,
electronic regulator is introdueced,which uses triac to
vary the output voltage by varing the firing angle.Which
avoids lose of energy in resistor...

Is This Answer Correct ?    155 Yes 17 No

Question { 5557 }

what is the advantage of pwm pulse compare to squarewave
pulse.

Answer

In squarewave pulse the output contains more ripples.. But
in Pulse width modulation(PWM)the ripples in the output is
very less...

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 1 No

Question { 5609 }

will the power consumption remains the same when speed of
the fan cnanges??if so y??

Answer

The power consumption or the fan remains same when the
speed is change using ordinary electric regulator.Since the
power is wasted in resistor(regulator)..
But when the the speed of the fan is changed with the help
ELECTRONIC REGULATOR the power consumption of the fan also
changes...ie., when speed is decresed the power consumption
is also decresed...

Is This Answer Correct ?    33 Yes 3 No
