I have got my H1B stamped at delhi in Oct 2008 from company
X. Due to currect market situation company X has not sent
me to USA. Now i resigned from company X and joined company
Y. Please let me know if its possible to transfer the H1B
visa on company Y.

Transferring an H1B visa from one employer (Company X) to another employer (Company Y) is possible, but it requires certain steps:
1. New Employer (Company Y) must file a new H1B petition on your behalf.
2. The new H1B petition should be filed during the 60-day grace period after leaving Company X or within the validity period of the current H1B visa, whichever is later.
3. Ensure that all previous H1B-related documents are still valid and meet the requirements for transfer. This includes a Labor Condition Application (LCA) from Company Y, a valid passport, and other supporting documents.

H1B approved in October 2008 I got H1B Approval NoticeI-797B form which is valid from 3rd October 2008 to 21st September 2011.i still did'nt went for Visa stamping.I would like to ask few questions in this regard. 1.When is the correct time to go for stamping? 2.As i have applied from a consultancy so do i need to take any new employment offer letter from a new YYY company? 3.Presently i am working in XXX company?What should i carry from this XXX company? 4.If visa interviewer asks "If ur visa is been approved long time back then why you are coming now?" Hi, My petition for H1B has been approved. There is a problem though. In my passport my name has been mentioned as VATSA TANGA. But in all my certificates and educational documents my name is mentioned as SRI VATSA TANGA. On asking the person responsible for visa process in my company, he said that I should not go for a change in the passport name, because the petition was approved on the basis of the name mentioned in the passport ie.VATSA TANGA. Please tell me what should I do now. Should I get a document from a notary saying that VATSA TANGA and SRI VATSA TANGA is the same person? Please suggest.
