direct tax is nothing but the tax which is paid to the govt
directly eg- income tax

indirect tax is the tax which is paid to the govt indirectly
eg-vat, cst, excise

The primary difference between Direct Taxes and Indirect
taxes is that,
> The tax is levied directly on the tax payer, i.e, the
Govenment levies and collects from such tax payer.
Eg: income tax, etc.
> In case of Indirect Taxes, The tax is collected by an
intermediary from the customer and eventually passes the
same to the Govt.
Eg: VAT, service Tax, etc.

Indirect Tax:- The Tax is collected by user and eventually paid to same Govt. by Saller.....Like Sale Tax, Service Tax, CST, Exicse, Custom Duty....etc.
