Well if you attach a screenshot for all GUI related issues
it will be great.Otherwise the bugs having CSS issue or some
appearance issue must have screenshot attached.

First, whenever you take a screenshot, especially for a
defect, helps the developer to understand what exactly the
defect it was.
Secondly, when you log a defect, you need to explicitly
mention the details on the following points:
DEFECT ID
DEFECT NAME
DEFECT DESCRIPTION
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
SEVERITY
PRIORITY
TEST CASE REFERENCE
SCREENSHOT
once the tester fills in the information, the developer
would be in more comfortable position to resolve the defect.
Hence Screenshot, is a part of the defect component.

in my project that is in mobile application we have developed an application on android and we are developing same application on iphone also so if there is a bug in iphone application then i can take screen shot in android to show to developer so that it becomes easy for the developer to understand and for every bug we don't take screen shot

I would recommend take screen shoots it save your and
developers long communications, second you have proof for
future reference in case some defects are funny and they
keep coming back so developers will concentrate that area
and most important if you work on Agile you usually get good
feed back from Development team which is good for your profile.
