Service Tax means, The person who render the service he is
liable to collect the Service tax from the client and
payable to Government of India. the threshold limit for
Service tax for the FY 2008-09 10 lacs. The service tax
amount is Service TAx -12% & Cess-3%, Below is the example
if you are rendering softwareservices

directly or indirectly. culation of service tax is teqnical
issue . we take easy to count like.
If expenses

if income , Including profit
Bill amount 1500

E.cess 4.5
as on above , Service tax libilities
Service tax head ( 150-100 ) = 100
E.cess ( 4.50-3 ) = 1.50
as per above calculation , we will calculate service tax
monthly basis and deposit the same on date as per govt rule
( 5 of every month ) return of every six month
