3. Theory of Machines and Mechanisms: Kinematics and
dynamics of machines, role of friction,
different power devices and power transmission equipments,
Application of Cams in Machines
and Engines.
4. Hydraulic Machinery: (a) Hydraulics -- Fluids and their
properties, Fluid pressure and its
measurement, Fluid-flow and its measurement etc.
