I have qualified in the sbi clerical test .Now my
interview is on 16-10-2008.So pls tell me what questions
are asked in the interview and tell me the reference book
for interview in sbi.

hello everyone,
I am now working in the main branch of a town near my home
city. I am going daily by train about 1 hour 15 min journey
from home in total. Being it a main branch the work is
usually more and everybody is busy. There is no one to
clear our doubts and all so i am waiting for the training
letter for now. But I am enjoying my time here and trying
to be careful about what i talk and ask.
One thing i want to tell every one is that just dont trust
anyone too much. There are some people here in my branch
who have a reputation of spreading rumors and gossips and
some people if they dont like us can try to do us harm. I
have seen here such people whose details i dont want to
discuss, but it is my advice that we all try to be polite as
much as we can and do the work we are told, finish it and
try to get home in time so that no body has the chance to
exploit us in any way.
Could somebody who have gone to the training tell us what
happened there. i would like to hear from you guys who have
been to training. you can just post it on my blog

today I had no work and sat idle in the counter doing
nothing, not only me but all the staff since it is a state
governmet holiday here. It was boring, but got home early
to be with my dogs atleast. Here they are presently not
giving us any serious work to do as no one has time to talk
to each other in the working days.

HELLO!
I am joined on 05/02/09 I get posted at LHO on
supernumerary basis ( I think after some time they may be
sent to me to branch). I am taken 45days permission on
medical ground (I am also given request for extension of
joining date but I am not get any reply to my letter from
them)but after 45days I went to HR Dept on 04.02.09 they
told me if you feeling well you go to medical tests and get
fitness certificate(FC) fm SBI Dr. Then I gone thru all the
test and SBI Dr given me FC on the same day(04/02/09) and
the same day I produced FC to HR Dept. they told me to come
tomarrow mornig, then I went next day they given order and
told I am posted on supernumerary basis at LHO Bangalore.
my work at LHO is going very nicely all the senior officers
are very co-operative and they are all guiding in good way.
Those persons taken extension for joining please keep
contact with HR Dept. and dont worry. one of my fried also
taken permission for extension of joining date and he will
be reporting in next month. and he also not get any reply
to his request for extension.

Hope u r all fine and rockng in workz. Finally completed our
probation period successfully and became part of SBI Family.
Also one year of our Written Exam (I think it was 6th July).

happy to see u r reply. sbi is not a multinational
organisation. it is a nationalised bank and no need to
worry on target and its acheivement. we must be careful on
doing works in cash dept, clearing and transfer by entering
the accno and amt correctly. until such we need not want
to bother.
don worry on target watch u r seniors and follow their path.

Hi maddy,
yes i have heard about the wage revision from our staff
members they are saying that wage revision may be signed on
24th september. Moreover One thing that i want to say that
are all you guys are getting allowance or not. At training
session that were conducted during our appointment, the
official how told that we should be getting computer
allowance that rs 910 are you all guys are getting that or
having per month salary of 7500. Please yaar someone tell
me that whether we have right to get any kind of allowance
or not. Moreover at time of appointment the regional office
has also forwarded a letter that all you guys will be paid
a allowance for handling accounts and cash.

hi pankaj,
happy to see u r reply, We are not entititled to any
allowance for computer and accounts and cash. we new
recruits are getting pay around Rs.7500/- only per month.
Only after the wage revision settlement i think we could
able to cross around 5 digit take home pay. If u know any
thing regarding pay revision keep updating.

MY QUESTION ????? I have written SBI Clerk exam on july 13th 2008 & got selected. During medical test(done during December 2008), they have ?s on my medical fitness & put my appointment on hold. Am still waiting(its been six months) for the response from crpd sbi regarding my joining? I found this forum useful after seeing lots of views on the similar subject. Friends - now,please help me know how many days/months/years more they take to decide on my career in sbi. When i call the concerned local head, they ask me to wait for the reply from crpd,mumbai - they donot have concrete answer or much to say about the issue. Any suggestions/views are very much appreciated. AM SICK OF WAITING & confused at the moment. Thanks :)
