hi again


well as we all know that in Sept . there was a major
downfall in share market... the wall street was kinda in a
shock when one of its oldest investment firm Lehman decided
to file petition for bankruptcy...it was for the first time
in its 158 years... it happened coz it was heavily indebted
and the banks refused to invest in it.. losing the faith for
investors , n being indebted...

the main reason for having such a huge debt was its
dependence on leverage assets n property derivatives...so it
invested huge amount in property n housing crash made it
liquidate...on 13-14 sept it was like the end of it...so on
15th sep it declared itself bankrupt after the american
bank refused investment in it on the weekend... on the same
day, Merill Lynch was being sold... so it hampered the US
economy... n affected BSE by 3% downfall..


but still though the whole world is in the gloomy recession
period... our country managed to lit the candle of boom....

hi everybody this is kiran from hyderabad i am also selected
for interview my interview on 24 oct i completed mba and my
problem is i have a gap of one year i just searched for jobs
in that year i didnt find any job if the inerviewer ask
what you did in that one year what should be the answer

hi friends

how are you all doing?? guess getting busy with your prep n
forgetting ones who are waiting for your help here...a few
like me who have only this forum as a source of useful info...

anyway, yesterday evening or say today morning as per IST,
US govt passed the bail out of $700 billion with 69-23..
which would authorize the US govt to intervene the financial
crisis in the country by purchasing the assets of banks n
other financial inst n reselling them ...though their value
would increase for sure by the govt interventions. for this
Obama and his republican rival John McCain both agreed with
Bush and asked for its approval...though final polling would
be on Friday i guess...now lets see if this bail out would
help Economy coming out of depression or not ... but as
Obama and other senators say...this is the only rescue plan
they are left with...

guess this is also related to the us economy stuff so a must
known thing for all of us...:)

n Swati... your answer for where do you see yourself after 5
years is pretty coool.. But may be i have met a few bad HR
personnel or you have met only the Good ones... whatever be
i just hope that we all go through the interview n pave our
way to success no matter what kinda interviewer we face and
answer them the best possible way...thanx for a witty answer
though

KIRAN, i want to ask you something, as u've done MBA, they
may definitely ask you that aren't you overqualified for
the job, i don't think so that they'll pay any heed to that
1 year gap, as they are getting a MBA for a job which
requires a 12th pass, what do u say?

Congrats to all who are selected for Interview. Thank God ,
just now i came to about this forum. This is very useful and
I have learned many things from this forum.

I am working as a hardware professional and i have completed
BCA and some professional courses. I have some doubts.
Please Clarify me.

Tell me how i have to answer ( or format of answer) if they
asked to " Tell about yourself" and " Tell about your
weakness"

When i go though this forum most of us discussed about
questions which are related to banking, financial , stock
market etc. Is the interviewers ask questions in that
manner?? Friends from Agriculture, Computer, Arts,
Electronics fields are also called for Interview. How once
can expect that above friends from other fields will answer
questions like Repo Rate, CRR, RR Rate, Stocks,NPA, Bank
Rate etc???

I am having interview on 14th Oct. I think the Starting date
of Interview is 13th Oct and up to 25th Oct( I m not sure).
But some may called in 13th and some may called in various
following dates. My doubt is on which basis they select a
Candidate to be called earlier and the following dates. If
it's based on marks scored in Written Exam means , is it
true that they have more chances of getting job??

Coz i came to know that the Final Selection will be based on
Written Exam marks + Performance in Interview. Please
clarify this doubt( if its silly also). Also i heard that
the Cut-off mark is 60%. What's the position of a friend if
he scored 65% in written exam and a friend scored 95% in
written exam???

you are absolutely right that it would be kinda extra
burden on us tax payers but as you see this is the max
amount they would spend to help economy out of
crisis...just the amount they can spend if necessary... n
as far as tax payers are concerned they are kinda gonna be benefited by this as economy crisis would result in lay
offs n downfall in their income stuff too...

n to help the nation , citizens have to contribute either
way..

what do you think is N deal gonna be real favorable for our
nation's growth...??? coz as it says we 'll have to give
one years notice before ending up this deal n its gonna
cost high...

anyway...catch ya laters friends...

Congratulations all for clearing the written test for the
SBI examination.
I shall be grateful to you all if you kindly let me know
about the duration of the interview for each candidate and
wat is the answer for why do you want to work with SBI. If
you are an engineer then why you want to be aclerk. Kindly
provide some suggetions for the above questions. who all
come under the gazetted officer category.
