HI all,

Ya maddy you are correct that we are getting 7500 pm but
what about the Officer who told us that if we are working
on a computer than we should be getting computer allowance
of rs 910/-. Moreover what about the letter that regional
office has given to all new recruits that they would be
getting a allowance for handling cash and accounts. Are you
all working in power of 1 or 2? If you are working in power
of 2 than you must get an allowance.

No need to refer any specific book..

I appeared for SBI interview last year so I will suggest u
to just have a look on current topics.. and Be prepared
with the main subjects that u have studied in ur
graduation..

Banking terms can also be asked in interview..

Hi Prasad,

the number which u saw at your call letter has no relation
with ur ranking. Its jus a reference number for CRPD. Don
confuse with dat. SBI has many vacancies. Even My frnd told
dat there are 15000 vacancies. As i already told, SBI is gng
4 another huge recruitment for more than 20000.I dont know
whether it's true r not.

So Everyone have their own view n thoughts. JUs ignore "HE
TOLD, SHE TOLD" things. Dont keep those rumours in mind. Thy
will distract ur preperations.
Concentrate urself for the Interview preperations. Show ur
best.

Do U know one thing??.Even SBI Staff didnt know when the
results of the Interview will be declred. So carry on ur work

Hi gops,

I was told that it will take nearly 1 1/2 months to get the
final results.

I am eager now because i aldy crossed 28 and tis is my final

Dear friend,
I am also preparing for 13.10.2008 interview it is my first
time but as much as i know first of all we must be persons
workable in the banks,our character mut show to handle so
many customer with different nature so we need current
affairs of banks and banks product. we must keep our self
updated with current affairs of national and international.

hello again...

yeah Anuradha n Akanshita... we are supposed to wear
formals for any interview..its should be smart trousers n
shirt... not stylish top...whatever we wear should look
decent.. guys should of course be wearing trousers n formal
shirts... bcoz while taking interviewer, more than our
answers, our posture our gestures are being noticed.. each
n every thing should reflect our optimism, professionalism...

n yeah these questions would be very much helpful to all of
us...

what i guess is , getting knowledge about usual banking
stuff like what slip you use for depositing n withdrawing
money n what does the 16-digit number at the end of a draft
means...is as important as getting deeper into the banking
terms like CRR n SLR...

in what cases you think a check will bounce or what are
poste dated ante dated checks...how many times a year does
bank prepare its financial reports n stuff ...
so lets discuss abou them first... we have a lot many days
to go for our interview so just relax...

discuss these questions n lets take a topic daily to
discuss on...if that goes fine with ya all....

then today we all would search n post answers for the
questions about


1. what is CRR

i.e. CAPITAL RESERVE RATIO, the ration in which banks
should deposit their amount with RBI. that is just to keep
control over the inflation and extra money flow in the
banks.

2. what is SLR

i.e. Statutory Liquidity Ratio. which is the amount banks
have to maintain in the form of Gilts, securities n etc..

relation between CRR n SLR .. what is present CRR n SLR,
when is it being updated by RBi.. like theses...

I would like to share something about CRR.
CRR :- CASH RESERVE RATIO
It is a ratio in which bank have to kept cash in a
liquid form.
If crr is high the bank can land money for loan will
decrease so the effect will be the rate of int. of loan
will increase and Vise -a - vis if it decrease.

I have some more questions.
Why SBI choose SBS for merger?
What is this strike in bank because of this merger what is
problem with merger?
who is chairmen of sbi?

I have been selected for SBP but I have also had interviews in Bank of Baroda and Canara Bank. I am a bit confused whether to join or wait for other results to come out because according to the SBI advertisement selected candidates have to work in shifs if required and also travel if necessary. Can anybody tell me what is the notice period in SBP.
