Some times valid bugs existed in the SRS (document) and it
could be willingly or unwillingly, therefore, go through
SRS properly and discuss with TL and Project Manager.

sometimes the person who prepares the testcases makes
mistakes that is what we call discrepancy in test case . At
that point the tester needs to refer SRS- software
requirement specification document which is purely made for
the client purpose what the client needs .
so if your expected result is matching with testcase but
not with SRS then definitely there is a discrepancy in TC
and that is a valid bug. After all we work for client
correct me if i am wrong
