I am shyam prasad working in Hyderabad as a sr.sftware
Engg - Testing. Firsly i would like to ask you Why u want
to join java?. If you want any help in scripting then u
need not go to any instutes ( i know we are very very busy
with our work but still v can take time to work out). And
let me tell you that people around cannot help you even if
u pay them amt. I suggest you that 1st u try to install QTP
( or wht every tool it is) read the help doc in the tool
and start working out .......... Do not think that i am
talking to something rubush. but that is wht i have done
and still i am doing it... trus me ...............

Hi Aditya,

It's good that you are planning to shift to automation
testing. For this there is no need of JAVA or any other
language's.

First try to learn basic concepts of QTP from the internet
or any material or from an institute.

No one in the world can teach you real time coding
situations unless we our selves face them.

Practice writing scripts on your own; you can take the
gmail,yahoo or any web applications for this.

In interviews they will ask the questions they faced in the
real time situation and expect an answer how you will
resolve them if you face them.

If you have any queries regarding QTP you can email me so
that i can try to solve them if not i will find a way to
get the answer.

yes the above answers are right..nobody can teach you real
time qtp..no need to learn java.. just install qtp
& take up ur own scenarios & go on writing the script,if
any doubts contact me..i am working as a automation tester

First you have to know what is the use of autoamtion and
benefits. Go throgh the help documents(u will get those doc
after installation.
Try to practising some simple scripts your own.

Hi! My OTP script has several bitmap checkpoints included which I check in the test results xml file. The test is for SAP 4.7. I need to save these bitmaps to files or at least export them to the html file using the export function in the test results viewer. Could you please help me with this problem? Thank you in advance! i have an external excel datasheet where it only contains 3 rows. after qtp executed the code to import the datasheet, the datatable getrowcount method now gives me a different value, lets say 60,000+ instead of only 3. i did not have any values starting from row 4 of my excel file. why is this happening? this also results to the qtp report to load for a very long time.
