Frank is 15 years younger then John. In 5 years John will be twice as old as Frank. How old will Fr..

Answer / pallavi attarde

Today Frank's age = x and John's age = x+15

and after 15 years, john will be twice of Frank,
i.e. 2*(x+5)= (x+15+5)
solving this,
we get x = 10 , which is todays age of Frank.
Then after 4 years Frank will 10 + 4 = 14 years old

Answer / taurean

Let age of Frank be F and that of John be J

F + 15 = J
2(F + 5) = J + 5

Solving both of them, F=10 and J=25

Answer / t eswara rao

THE ANSWER IS : FRANK WILL BE AT AN AGE OF 14YR. IN FOUR YEARS

SOL:
AS PER CONDITION-1: F = J-15
AS PER CONDITION-2: J+5 = (F+5)X2
SO THE EQUATION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS
J+5 = (J-15+5)X2
J = 2J-25
J = 25
SO SUBSTITUTE THE VALUE IN CONDITION-1 AND THE VALUE OF F
F = 10
AFTER 4 YRS
F = 10+4
= 14

5X = 30 + 2X,
5X-2X = 30,
3X = 30,
X = 30/3 = 10,
X = 10.

Frank is 15 years younger then John. In 5 years John will be twice as old as Frank. How old will Fr..

Answer / sri ram

let F be x and J be x+15

in 5yrs,
x+5=2(x+15+5)
x+5=2x+40
x+35=0
x=35 [. .
[ . x is assumed as age ,it can be taken as +ve]
therefore frank age is 35 and john age is 50
therefore in 4yrs frank can be 39yrs younger than john
NOTE:-
Given question is wrong because as stated first tht frank
is 15yrs younger than john , so in 4yrs he will be younger
than john not older
