Walkthrough is a type of review made on the software
product.
During walkthrough thr faults for later correction are
recorded. Some of the faults are fixed but some are kept as
it is for later corrections.
Thus walkthrough is a review process and expected to be
interactive.

A technique to get elaborate understanding of the potential
misstatements - 'what could go wrong', starts from the
origination of the company's processes until it is
reflected in the company's financial records.
Objectives:
- understanding the flow of transactions including how
these transactions are initiated,authorized, processed and
recorded.
- identification of points within the company giving rise
to mistatements and frauds.
- identification of controls implemented to address these
mistatements.
- identification of controls implemented over the
prevention or timely detection.

walk-through is the most formal and time consuming technique
used in the static testing . static testing has the three
parts of it's technique
1)desk checking
2)inspection
3)walk-through.these three techniques are used only for the
static testing .so that we can find out the falults in the
documents earlier in the analysis phase n to prevent the
future bugs. walk through is the one of them .
