veritas netbackup is a one of the tool , to take the data
and store the tapes ,disk etc for long time becz we r using
this tool , it works on hetrogenous environment. like
unix ,solaris,windows etc. here mainly we r using storage
units, volume pools , tapes , drive issues , backup
failures , these issues we have in our backup..

In real time environment if the media server crashes, they rebuild the media server,install OS,install netbackup,restore the catalog.
