application of regression testing is not only applied for
changees/ rectification of bugs but also usefull in
product testing where version of products comes in to
picture. for ex:yahoo mail inthat comaponet Compose/check
mail allthough version of yahoo mail may change but
fuctionality of chekmail/compose mail keeps so her is the
regression testing comes into picture so here inthis aprt u
can automate the test.

This answer is based on the projects produced in the resume
and it lots depend whether it required automation. It also
depends on the size of the team and as well as other factors.
Generally regression testing is done whenever it is
confirmed once by testing the entire functionality manually
and treated application is stable. My regression test effort
mainly concentrates on bugs raised earlier.
