What is the dirrerence in Bug Tracking Tool, Bug Reporting
Tool and Test Management Tool? Please be clear in Detail.
Answer / chandra_oracle
Bug Tracking is used for analyzing the logged bugs.
Something like how many days it took for closing, how many
times it was reopened, how many times similar kind of bug
was raised etc. Generally it will be used during start up
of Regression Testing. After doing the analysis then the
areas for which regression testing to be done will be
decided. Analysis will be done through graphs, pie-charts
etc.
Bug Reporting Tool is something like a bugzilla,Bug
facility in Test Director etc. It wont be having much
analysis of all logged bug. High level kind of analysis
will be possible.
Test Management Tool is the one which will be used for
maintaining all the test deliverables - FDD Reviews, BRD
Reviews, Test Plans, Test Cases, Use Cases etc. Ex - Test
Director.
