Let consider the salary of a person be 100
then,
100-10=90
110-15=95
95-90=5
gain after increment is 5
so for gain to be 350
salary=350/5*100=7000
Therefore, salary=Rs7000

Answer / shivaray p jan
let us consider his salary as 'X'
his previous salary after deductings 10% tax was '0.9X'
his present salary after deducting 15% tax with 10%
increments is '0.85*1.1X'
so equtuation for total gain is
(0.85*1.1X)-(0.9X)=350
0.935X-.9X=350
X=10000, Ans is 10000

Answer / yamuna
Assume before increment the salary is x
tax is 10% = 0.1x
After paid the tax he get salary = x-0.1x
= 0.9x
After the increment of salary by 10% the salary =x+0.1x
=1.1x
Tax is 15% =(x+0.1x)*15/100
=0.165x
After paid the tax he get salary =1.1x-0.165x
=0.935x
increment salary - previous salary =Gain
0.935x -0.9x =350
x=10000
So the previous salary is 10000
Increment salary is 11000

Let the person's salary is x.
therefore his increment in salary is 350 with a growth of 10%.
or we can write : x*10/100=350
therefore, x=350*10/100

let his salary be x.
his tax amount is x/10
therefore his savings at 10% tax is 9x/10
his new salary is 11x/10
his new tax amount is 33x/200
therefore his new savings is 0.935x
the difference is 0.035x =350
therefore THE SALARY IS X=Rs.10000
if salary increased by 10% then it is Rs.11000

Answer / nilesh t thombre
let say salary S
then, S*(10/100)=S/10
(S+S/10)*15/100=(S/10+350)
by calculating
S(11/10)(3/20)=(S/10)+350
S=5400
