Explain the main means by which autotrophic beings obtain energy?
Answer / Bipin Kumar Shukla
Autotrophic organisms, also known as producers, are capable of producing their own food through photosynthesis or chemosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process used by plants, algae, and some bacteria to convert carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight into glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Chemosynthesis is the process used by deep-sea organisms, such as tube worms and certain bacteria, to obtain energy from chemical reactions involving hydrothermal vents or other reduced chemicals.
