Answer / suchi teegala

let no. of boys not participating be x
then the no. of girls not participating = x+5
no. of boys : girls participating = 3:2
given no.of boys participating = 15
therefore, the ratio is now 15:y(say)
then 3:2 = 15 : x
on solving 3/2 =15/y ie.., 3y =30 we get y =10
hence no. of girls participating =10
therefore total no of students paricipating = 15+10=25
total no of students in class =60 given
hence no. of students not participating = 60-25=35
therefore x+(x+5)=35
2x=30
x=15
therfore no of girls not participating =15+5=20
therefore total no of girls in class = no of girls
participating + no of girls not participating
=10+20
=30 is the answer

Answer / vidsln_2

let total no .of students participating sports=x
participating ratio =3:2
no of boys participating in the sports= 15
so, (3/5)*x=15
=25
no.of students not participating sports=60-25=35
v have, no.of non attending boys=y
no.of nn attending girls=y+5
so. y+y+5=35
y=15
no.of boys in the class=participating+ non participating
= 15+15=30
no.of girls in the class=total-no.of boys
=60-30
=30

Let number of boys be b and number girls be g.

boys_players : girl_player = 3:2 ----------> (1)
But, boys_players = 15 -------------------------> (2)
From (10 & (2) ,
3 parts = 15
2 parts = ? Ans:10 [ (15/3)*2 ]
i.e; girl_players = 10
Total players (boys & girls) =15+10=25 (or find directly
for 7 parts)
Total non-players = 60-25=35
Let x be the number of girls who doesn't participated.
Then x + (x-5) = 35 [from the given data]
=> 2x-5=35
=>2x = 40
=> x=20

Total number of girls=playing girls + not playing girls
= 10 + 20
=30
b+g=60 [from the given data]

Answer / ravi teja kantipudi

Total number in class, a=60
total number of boys participating, b=15
ratio of gals to boys participating is 3:2
so total number of gals participating is 10
so total number of boys and gals not participating are 35

total number of boys not participating let say 'x'
total number of gals not participating is 'x+5'
so total number is equal is to 35

=> x+x+5=35
=> 2x=30
=> x=15

so gals not participating are 20
so total number of gals in the class are 30

No. of boys participating in sports:B=15
therefore no. of girls participating in sports:G

as ratio is 3:2=B:G

3/2=B/G

G=(15*2)/3
G=10

No. of students not participating in sports=60-(15+10)=35

Samuel is obviously a bad fisherman. During the past season, in which he and the five members of his team spent four months on a boat together off Dutch Harbor, AK, he caught fewer fish than any of his teammates. Which of the following, if true, most weakens the argument above? While fishing this past season, Samuel fell sick for a week and did not catch any fish during this time. Before becoming a fisherman, Samuel piloted a fishing boat whose members regularly caught record numbers of fish. Unlike the other fishermen on his boat, at the order of the captain, Samuel fished this past season with experimental bait. Two seasons ago, Samuel fished on another boat off Dutch Harbor and caught more fish than any other member of that boat.
