The components of an environment can be broadly classified into biotic and abiotic factors. Biotic factors include all living organisms, their interactions, and the relationships between those organisms and their surroundings. Abiotic factors encompass non-living physical and chemical aspects like sunlight, temperature, soil, water, wind, atmospheric gases, etc.
