*finding the defect in earlier stage.
*verification performed without execution like
1.code inspection
2.reverse engineering(through testing understanding
the domain)
Dynamic testing:
*verification or validation performed by execution.

ex:testing on a flash files

testing on a constant object
ex:testing on a bitmap image
