Explain with examples what historians mean by the integration of cults...

Answer / Swati Kukreti

Integration of cults refers to the merging or blending of religious practices and beliefs from different sources. An example can be seen in ancient Rome, where various deities were often combined or associated with Roman gods to facilitate cultural assimilation. Another example is the syncretism that occurred between Greek and Egyptian deities when the Ptolemaic rulers of Egypt adopted aspects of the Greek pantheon alongside their native gods.
