cash sales and credit sales both are asset or liability?

cash sales and credit sales both are asset or liability?..

Answer / Shivendra Pratap Singh

Neither cash sales nor credit sales are assets. Cash sales are recorded as liabilities (because the money is owed to you by the customer) and credit sales are recorded as accounts receivable, which is a current asset.
