Describe the Glycyrrhizin (GL) and cell culture ?
Answer / Amit Jeet Kumar
Glycyrrhizin is a natural compound found in licorice root that has been shown to have various biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and immunomodulatory effects. In cell culture, Glycyrrhizin can be used at concentrations of 10-50 μM to modulate the activity of various signaling pathways such as the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway or the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Glycyrrhizin has also been used in combination with other drugs to enhance their efficacy in cancer cell lines.
