Describe about HL60 in culture and differentiation ?
Answer / Monit Kumar
HL-60 is a human promyelocytic leukemia cell line, commonly used for studies on myeloid differentiation. In undifferentiated state, HL-60 cells have a round morphology and are capable of proliferation. To induce differentiation, HL-60 cells can be treated with various agents such as retinoic acid or phorbol esters, which lead to the formation of neutrophil-like cells with characteristic granules.
