But in real-time designs it is not usually enabled. Whereas
in sh run u will all info and config on the router where the
neighbours are also published.

1) If the question is about point to point link
we need to check
1) ip adress configuration at both end it should be in same
address block
2) type of cable connectivity
3) if it is serial link the check the clock rate
4) speed or keep alive ( if Ethernet link )
5) if it switch point to point link then check the Dtp
status like port mode ( access. trunk, auto,DD ( dynamic
Desirable ) and lots
i guess it enough

Easy one the trick is here please use the /30 mask for the
Interface configuration and if you are taking the serila
link please do not foraget to put the clock rate at DTE end
