Question I Need Change For 1000 Rs It Should Not Be 100 Rs Notes But It Should Contain 10 Not..

Answer / kbkr

He said that we should not use ten hundreds,So we have must
have to go for a 500 note. And let the remaining be 100 and
50 notes. And assume that 500 notes are x and 100 notes are
y and 50 notes are z. Then
500x+100y+50z=1000 ------(1)
x+y+z=10 -----(2)
multiplying (2) with 100 on both sides, it becomes
100x+100y+100z=1000 -----(3)
solving (1)&(3) gives
8x=z
least possible values of (x,z) are (1,8)
from (2) by substituting the values of x and z, y = 1.
So one 500 note and one 100 note and eight 50 notes can be used.
