1)compare the actual result with the expected result.
2)find bugs
3)is to find whether the particular item satisfies the customer needs (Quality).

The purpose of testing os to get a quality product/application based on the user requirments.
We have to test based on the clients requirments whether the product/application is defect free and user-friendly or not.
