what is the right process for input credit of Service tax. and
on which service i can take credit.
Answer / Arvind
The right process for inputting Service Tax credit involves the following steps:
1. Registration: The service provider should be registered under Service Tax.
2. Issuance of Tax Invoice: The service provider should issue a valid tax invoice to the recipient containing details such as service provided, rate of tax, tax amount, CGST, SGST, and IGST (if applicable).
3. Recipient's Registration: The recipient should be registered under Service Tax or GST (Goods and Services Tax).
4. Submission of Tax Returns: The recipient should submit the service tax paid to the government along with their GSTR-1 return.
Services eligible for credit include all services, excluding those specifically listed as non-taxable under Schedule III of the CGST Act 2017.
