Giving to the point answer is correct but do remember that
this question actually give impression to visa officer that
you are really a serious student. So I suggest that you
atleast research on more than two universities by actually
visiting their websites...It will be great if you can apply
and have I-20s of more than one University based on your
preference.
Some time visa officer may ask you that how many
Universities did you apply so you should have more than one
I-20 and that improves your visa chances.
Always remember, prepare counter answers well before you appear.

Why this particular course? What is the course? Why this university? How many university you have applied? Why you are not opting to study this same course in your home country? Why USA? Will you come back? How this course structured? How long will you stay in US? What are your future plans?
My visa got rejected because of insufficient funds and fake bank statement.... Vo checked my bank statement and calculated something and said "due to insufficient funds I'm refusing your visa".... She didn't return the bank statement to me... The amount was removed from account before the visa interview date... I'm really worried that will they contact bank people to know whether the amount is there or not... Will they take any action against me for presenting fake bank documents... In fact we have 2 crores worth property ,but the problem is that the property is under my grandfather's name... So I have taken the fake documents as the real documents were not ready for the visa date ... Could you please let me know what to do
hi,I m Kapila, My F1 visa was rejected on 24th Feb, before that, I was rejected on 10th Dec'10. This time VO ask me question, but I gave answer wrong, so she repeted again, & I corrected my answer.VO'S 2nd question was which course? 3rd question was Why this univ.? 4th question was, Have u referred any other univ.? So i gave answer, that, no I didn't apply any other univ. this one was the first one & i got the acceptance with the same, After that i explained her that, one of my friend here in India, his husband is studying in this univ., & he also recommennd this univ to me, after that I have serched this univ thro' the net.
